What is the weight of not belonging? How does one cope with being different from one’s surroundings? Why advocate for an idea that eventually turns out to be harmful to oneself?

In PITY, a short dance film, the viewer zooms into the world of two beings who appear to be somewhat different. Detached from public life, they coexist in a state of apathy while pursuing the mission they are on. Something to do with money and guarantees, parsley and social security numbers.
Doubt, anger, despair, devotion, and sacrifice: a turmoil of emotions surfaces as things fall apart. The protagonists turn inward as their failure becomes apparent. Two blend into one. A fleeting moment of shelter, before they are back on the treadmills of the ever-turning system they chose to serve.

Based on the walking performance The Twin Hunters Corporation, this short film seeks to inspire hope for peaceful coexistence. It offers a vision of how we can live and let live despite our apparent and subversive differences. Take a step back and pay attention to the people around you. See life through their eyes, if only for a moment.
