MKiDN Scholarship 2025

As part of the MKiDN Scholarship, I have conducted a research on the topic of borders.

We all experience them in different ways, with various intensities. Be it national borders, which seem even thicker in the time of conflict, borders between humans like racism or class, which divide and separate us or personal borders that we build to protect and define ourselves.

We create, establish and practice borders at the same time giving them the right to exist, for both productive and destructive reasons. One thing is sure - they are abstract and conventional so as long as we continue acknowledging them - they will exist and expand.

If you wish to share your thoughts on the topic of borders, please fill out this survey. It will support and enrich my research. Thank you!

Interviews

I have interviewed 12 artists from different backgrounds who are experiencing borders in various circumstances.

These are personal stories and do not represent the general experience of people facing borders.
