something to shout about
In response to global events and driven by a desire to understand how borders are created, Paulina’s new dance production explores both the inter- and intra-societal processes of practicing, negotiating, and establishing borders. Together with her team, she delves into the complexities of separation and connection that arise within the dynamic situation of one side – border – other side.
This work seeks to shift the perspective on borders by focusing on the act of border-making itself rather than on its consequences. It asks: if borders are more than just lines, how do we move within these spaces, and what price do we pay for crossing them?
With this piece, we aim to empower people to take an active role in shaping borders and to encourage open, clear communication of personal boundaries. Conceived as a stage production, the work examines borders as a continuous process of socio-cultural value attribution, revealing the ambivalence inherent in their creation.
